You’re not alone!
Read how others have been helped by attending peer support group meetings.
Hi, my name is Diane and I’ve been with DBSA since 2010. I’ve learned so much: we help each other learn and grow into healthier, more productive people. We support each other through the hard times, look for the good and learn that there’s always hope. These are just a few things. I could add many more! Diane

DBSA has allowed me to find a group of people I can relate to and learn more about depression. I’ve been fortunate to find several DBSA groups to participate in. I am very grateful. Steve

When I see other people getting better, it helps me. I’ve learned to ask other people for help. I enjoy the fellowship and have also learned to take my medicine as I’m supposed to. I now follow my doctor’s orders. Cheryl

I’ve been a part of DBSA for 14 years. It has changed my life. When I first started regularly attending meeting, I realized I wasn’t alone and stopped isolating. I developed healthy habits–eating better , exercising, brushing my teeth, etc. I learned coping skills to improve to the quality of my life. I discovered I had more things to be grateful for than I imagined. I started liking myself more. The biggest change was that I stopped going into the hospital so frequently. I have only been hospitalized once in the last 8 years. I have made new friends inside and outside the groups The help I’ve received from DBSA I try to pass along to others. George
